Fellowship in the things of God, has greater benefit than you’ll ever know.
Because when we learn of a work He does, we then will our rejoicing show.
It is cause for joy when the work in hand can be shared with faithful men.
Together we labor and together we pray for the glory of God at the end.
In order for fellowship to be such delight, we have to tell others what God does.
By talking together, and learning the facts, we know what course we should choose.
There are times when one looks at things differently, then others who are part of the work.
But by seeing through eyes that are different than mine, I am more able to then do my part.
The saints need to know how things are going on, in far and distant parts of the field.
So those who know best, really should tell what they know and what kind of harvest they yield.
We pray for those folks, like Paul did for them who lived in his time far away.
What an encouragement it is and we all can rejoice, when we know God did what we prayed.
A brother beloved, who is faithful to God, makes us all stop a moment and think.
He is telling the truth, he has proven to be, the man God is using to bring;
To us here and now, where we know we’re to be, who have come united in prayer.
We mention their names, and some of the claims they have on us while they are there.
Those too abroad, in a land that is strange, want to hear from us what’s going on;
There are ties that are linked to those that they know, and they want to feel part of home.
The work that they do in prisons or in towns; is why we are laborers together.
By our constant support, and assurance to them, they are able each storm then to weather.
Paul needed the same, it was tough where he was to feel he was a part of their lives.
But through his loved brother, who brought news to him, he was anxious again to give
To those far away, what they needed to hear, and what he as a father could teach.
Sometimes in the mail comes a word to the wise, that we might miss if and when it’s preached.
