How to Listen on an iPhone or iPad

Here are the steps to take if you’re interested in listening to the podcasts on your iPhone. The steps will be identical on an iPad, but the screen will look a little bit different.

If you’re currently viewing this page using your iPad or iPhone, you can click this button below which will take you directly to step 4.

1. Find the Podcast Player app

The Podcasts app comes as a standard app on all iPhones.

If you don’t use it, it’s possible that it’s tucked away into a different folder, or it’s been deleted.

Look for the purple square that represents the Podcasts app and click on it.

If you can’t find it on your phone, visit the App Store and download the app there.

2. Open the Podcast Player app and click the search option

Upon opening the Podcasts app, you’ll see an array of podcast options including a list of categories to browse through.

Click on the search icon in the bottom right corner.

3. Enter "Gaius Goff" into the search box and hit "search"

When you search for “Gaius Goff” and you press the “search” button that appears in the bottom right corner of your screen, the results will come back and they’ll look something like this.

Select The Listening & Learning Podcast by touching the name or the cover image (as seen in this photo).

4. Hit the "Subscribe" button

To enable easy listening, hit the “Subscribe” button as indicated by the red arrow.

Subscribing will ensure that new episodes download to your phone for you to listen while you’re driving or walking, and it will also notify you of any new episodes that are available.

5. [Optional] Scroll down to choose episodes to listen to

If you’d like to listen to episodes right away, by scrolling down you’ll find a list of currently available episodes.

Touch the name of any of the episodes to begin to listen to the episode right away.

6. Listening to the new episodes

Touch the “Listen Now” button on the bottom left hand part of the screen, and the podcasts that are downloaded to your device will appear in the “Up Next” section.

Touch the podcast cover art or the title of the episode in order to get the podcast to play.

Adjust your volume and enjoy!
